“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul…” Psalm 23 ESV
As we begin our summer season of 2020 I cannot even tell you how excited I am to spend some quality time at our lake house. The first few months of this year have been nothing short of CRAZY for everyone around the globe, as we’ve been required to adapt to what is now deemed the “new normal”. As scary as change may be, it inevitably presents a beautiful opportunity for something “new” to transpire. I am reminded of all the priceless lake house memories made during hot summers spent by the water – swimming, fishing, boating – big family gatherings, weekend getaway, and celebratory weekends. When I think of a lake house, I think of rest and relaxation... a time to disconnect from the rest of the world so nature can restore my sanity and the Lord can replenish my soul.
One great idea for decorating a lake house is using dried florals anywhere you can! This is a project, I love to do with the girls. It is super easy and very cost-effective. Also, you don’t have to maintain dried flowers, so it works great for weekend homes. We absolutely love wildflowers so you can easily collect these flowers in the spring months, dry them, and they will last through summer and fall. These also look great with our rustic wall signs yet have a modern look and feel.
